Event number 17 – 12th August 2017

This week 37 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 13 were first timers and 7 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 8 different clubs took part.

Male placings:
John Paul MULLANEY (SM25-29) of Aberdare Valley AAC, was first over the line in 18:45 - first time in 3 appearances.
Chris MOORE (SM25-29) of Massey Ferguson RC, was second over the line in 19:54.
Matthew DAVIES (VM40-44) of Aberdare Valley AAC, was third over the line in 20:03 - was first to finish once before.

Female placings:
Kelly COLLINS (VW35-39) of Parc Bryn Bach Running Club, was first (10th overall) over the line in 24:36 - second time in 4 appearances.
Rose THOMAS (VW65-69) of Rhayader & District AAC, was second (14th overall) over the line in 26:22.
Paula EVANS (VW50-54) (Unattached) was third (17th overall) over the line in 28:19 - was first to finish once before.

The three highest age grades were recorded by:
Rose THOMAS (VW65-69) – 79.27% for the time 26:22 (14th overall).
John Paul MULLANEY (SM25-29) – 68.80% for the time 18:45 (first overall).
Matthew DAVIES (VM40-44) – 68.58% for the time 20:03 (third overall).

The female record is held by Lauren COOPER who recorded a time of 19:06 on 6th May 2017 (event number 3).
The male record is held by Daniel BODMAN who recorded a time of 16:47 on 1st July 2017 (event number 11).
The Age Grade course record is held by Caroline WOOD who recorded 85.67% (20:35) on 15th July 2017 (event number 13).

Merthyr parkrun started on 22nd April 2017. Since then 600 participants have completed 1,036 parkruns covering a total distance of 5,180 km, including 188 new Personal Bests.
