****New Years Day run – cancelled*****

Sorry all but we have had to cancel the planned additional New Years Day run

There are plenty of other parkruns you can take part in - just search for the parkrun  Christmas compendium and make sure you check before your travel on the day in case the weather means there are cancellations.

Our run on Saturday 30th will go ahead as planned - please let us know if you can volunteer

Thanks

Event #5 – 20th May 2017

Runners in today's event will be noticing a slight amendment to the final results.

Due to a misunderstanding on the course route some finishing positions are currently being revised. Please accept our apologies for any confusion caused.

Once updated the revised results will be available here. If you have any questions please email us at merthyroffice@parkrun.com.

Thanks

Merthyr core team.

Results Saturday 22 April 2017

Following the inaugural run on Saturday we identified a discrepancy in the recorded distance on a number of runners devices.

As a result we have re measured the course with a trundle wheel again and unfortunately we have confirmed the course was 75metres short

To protect the integrity of the results we have made the decision to amend the results from Saturday .

In effect we will add 1.5% increase in time to account for the 75 metre shortage – this is the standard methodology when accounting for discrepancies in distance.

The amendments to the results will be made in the next 24 hours .

We are really really sorry for this mistake (mortified in fact) .

Hopefully you can understand our decision to make the changes so we can ensure Merthyr parkrunners have the ability to achieve genuine PB’s in the future.

If you have any enquiries then please email us at merthyroffice@parkrun.com

Thank you for your understanding

Hannah and the Merthyr parkrun team

Saturday 22 April – Merthyr parkrun Event#1

Dear parkrunners

Saturday is nearly here and so is the launch of Merthyr parkrun so here are some gentle reminders for Saturday;

We love volunteers....... can anyone help us out this week ?

No barcode = No result. We will be applying the rules from Day 1 so please #DFYB.

Due to how the course narrows at certain points this event can not be run with dogs and/ or pushchairs.

See you Saturday
