Couch to 5km – Starts January 2020
Our first couch to 5k beginners programme at Milford Waterfront is a free course, open to anyone of any age or running ability and lasts for 9 weeks.
The sessions will start on a Saturday morning with the hope of an additional training session during the week.
Couch to 5K is a running plan for absolute beginners. The plan involves 3 runs a week, with a day of rest in between, and a different schedule for each of the 9 weeks.
We want to encourage as many people as possible to get fit during 2020 and use the Milford Waterfront parkrun event on a Saturday morning as part of your plan.
We see runners and walkers of all abilities take part every week, it’s a relaxed and friendly event and we want people to feel comfortable and not shy about taking part. Everybody has to start somewhere and our scenic but tucked away route won’t leave you feel self-conscious as would running in public may do.
Our couch to 5k programme will begin on Saturday 9th January 2020.
