Thankfully the first of today's rain showers held off  until all 224 of today's runners & walkers were safely home & dry (or at least taking advantage of Denbies café)

Another muddy one but that never puts off our regulars - & we were also delighted to welcome 9 confirmed first timers (plus some more who dont *yet* have their barcode) - fabulous to have you all in the park run 'family'!

Henry Smith was first male home in 18.31, with Emiko Salvi  first female in 21.32, great times considering the conditions, which also didn't prevent 12 runners achieving PBs.

Suitably on a milestone day for the venue, three people had very notable milestones:
Elena Romanova hit her big 50... while Dave Holloway showed us all how a tiara should be worn to celebrate his 100 (very fetching it was too). Meanwhile Richard Ingram managed numerical excellence by coming position 100th for his  100th park run. Most satisfying for number nerds such as myself.

In all another fantastic start to the weekend - made possible by volunteers & made special by mutual respect & friendship showing the human spirit is not quite so lacking as media might have us believe just now. Stay safe, stay well, til next time.
