An impressive 115 runners, joggers and walkers joined us on the common today - a lovely morning for it although I understand it was a little warm out on the course but that didn't stop 13 of you getting PBs, so well done.. Really great to welcome 30 first timers to Mulbarton, some being first time parkrunners so well done, hope you all enjoyed it and that we'll see you again soon. It's also always good to welcome parkrun tourists, and this week we had visitors from the local area as well as some from further afield including Scotland and Thailand!
As usual, a massive thank you to today's band of happy volunteers - Kirsty, Kirsten, Tim, Trevor, Mark, Robert and Alan for pacing with such precision! It all worked like a dream so thanks to you all for making my job so easy!
On the subject of volunteers, we are totally dependent on you all to put on the event each week, and we have a lot of gaps in the volunteer roster in the coming weeks. It really is fun and easy, and full training will be given so don't be daunted if you haven't done it before. If you can help out, please do get in touch - firstname.lastname@example.org - your support is invaluable and much appreciated by all parkrunners.
Can I also encourage you to opt into our Mulbarton parkrun volunteer email list. You need to do this through your personal parkrun profile page - under 'email options'. We only send out essential emails for things such as volunteer appeals, course updates and event cancellations so you really won't get inundated with loads of emails!
Well done to you all again, and hopefully see you next week.
Jane (this week's Run Director)
