Mulbarton parkrun #313

A bit of a breezy start to the weekend so well done to all 138 runners, joggers and walkers who braved the wind and joined us on the common, particularly to 20 of you who achieved PBs despite the conditions. It was great to welcome the Norfolk Gazelles who were running with us as their parkrun of the month, 35 first timers at Mulbarton, and to one runner on their first ever parkrun. Hope you all enjoyed running on the common and we'll see you again soon.

As usual, a massive thank you to today's team of wonderful volunteers - Vicky, Clare, Fern, Scarlett, Andrew and Ivan. Great teamwork and your efficiency and enthusiasm made my job so easy. And thanks too to James for pacing to within a second, and apologies for changing your name for the day!

Volunteering really is fun and rewarding, and we can't hold the event without you, so please do think about giving it a go. Full training and support will be given so don't be daunted - have a look at the future roster on the website and just let us know if you'd like to give it a go (mulbartonhelpers@parkrun.com.

We're also keen to recruit a new Run Director to join the core team which will really help covering hoildays, illness etc. Have a look at the announcement on the news page of our website (www.parkrun.org.uk/mulbarton/news/) and get in touch if you think you'd be interested.

Well done to you all again, enjoy the rest of the weekend and hope to see you again soon,

Jane (this week's Run Director)
