Well the circus was in town this week and there was certainly no shortage of clowns dressed in yellow hi-vis vests volunteering for Nobles Parkrun number 70! The Ring master and temporary Run Director, Charlie, was very stressed, in fairness this job is in tents ha ha. Charlie whipped us all into shape and got us underway on time (following the usual show of appreciation for the guys in yellow). Special mention must go to Kerry the lion tamer, for getting all the clowns in place (I'll stop with the circus theme now).
The team were again up early again ensuring the course was set up, without the dodgy tape work from last week!!! In the sunshine the course does look fantastic! Ian and Ali, rest assured, the temporary team are doing a great job in your absence, however, we are all looking forward to being berated by Big Bird again soon.
Running conditions were brilliant, so good we even had one topless runner - thankfully he had a suitable physique. We may require prior notification of this sort of action in future as no doubt there would be a clamber from the local female population to volunteer (to be politically correct perhaps I should omit the word female)
We had a number of visitors this week from Edinburgh, Cumbria and Reading. My apologies as I didn't get the names of the visitors from Edinburgh and Cumbria. Of the three from Reading who arrived on the overnight boat, Ash and Tim overnight are takeing part in the RLT200 on sunday. Anisa, the third visitor, even ran with a broken shoulder well done all and we hope you had a great run
