Wow what a strange feeling......no not the fact that the sun was out, heading for set-up in the wrong direction, fewer signs and posts slung in the rear of the car too.
But how wonderful to arrive to be reminded of those stunning views that this venue affords.
But these views can be dangerous.....as they distracted one runner too much, as she fell grazing her hand and elbow.
Please remember, as covered in the pre run brief, this is a trail route with an uneven surface.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
With the distraction of pre Parish Walk training and Prom Run, will still say 69 of you squeeze in to our temporary home - including our usual sprinkling of visitors and first timers.
For those that couldn't make it, and of course missed us...…
Heres the start area....
….and heres the finish!
We have a couple of new volunteering opportunities that we can offer that we couldn't at Nobles, one of those being a Car Park Marshal - this week brilliantly organised by Sue Ackroyd, safely squeezing in as many of you as possible. Sue then went on to marshal the top corner next to the car park, but the opportunity to run is also there...….bonus run and volunteer credits, win win lol
It was also great to see Dave Lawrie back out there running after time out due to a poorly knee - of which we made much volunteering hay from this. To ensure his safety he was ably accompanied by daughter Sophie. Well done both
As this is our first year of running events during TT, it would almost be rude not to have a special TT event at this wonderful location - for the benefit of residents and visitors alike...…..watch this space, check our facebook events!
A polite reminder....please don't forget your barcodes (#DFYB), strictly no barcode no time!
See you Saturday parkrun family
