Nobles parkrun Event #85 – 20th July 2019

A bit of drizzle and some damp conditions underfoot did nothing to deter our parkrunners today!

104 happy smiling runners made it round the course. We have had over 100 participants each week for the last four weeks - let's see if we can keep the numbers up for the whole summer!

Lots of visitors to the IOM joined us today. A good crowd in from Northern Ireland, Huddersfield, Nottingham and down to Lymington on the South Coast of England. Also leading veteran athlete Angela Copson from Rugby achieved an incredible 97.12% age grade rating - a new Nobles best by quite a margin. If you want to know more about this remarkable lady I recommend that you google her!

There were also an amazing 21 runners who made Nobles number 85 their first ever parkrun! Whether you are a visitor or a local, well done to you all and we hope you enjoyed it. You are always welcome to join us here at Nobles and we hope to see you again soon.

Special mention goes to Ray Shooter, who completed his 50th parkrun! Seasoned veteran runner Ray even brought along some cakes for us to enjoy after the run. Thanks Ray, well done and keep on running!

A couple of other mentions. Firstly to Rob Clynes, who joined us today fresh from his victory in the two lap race of the Peel Headlands Series. Rob is pictured here with his well earned trophy.

Regular parkrunner Alanya Coop was not at today's event. She did have a good reason though - she is getting married! Good luck for the big day Alanya from all your parkrun friends.
One final mention goes to our wonderful volunteers.

The event cannot run without them - why not put your name forward to help out next week / the week after / the week after that...? Have a good week all and see you back at Nobles soon!
