Normanby Hall parkrun Event #118 7/3/2020

Today was parkrun's celebration of International Women's Day and 293 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 34 were first timers. Representatives of 22 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 44 volunteers, including our fantastic pacers helping 54 parkrunners to new personal bests. Thank you to every one of our hi vis heroes, we can't do it with out you.

and regular tailwalker John Jarvis also did his 100th parkrun but we didn't realise until later.....

We know that parkrun is a run not a race but we have to mention first finisher today David Robinson.


He had a great run and finished only 10 seconds away from the course record, in 15:55. Its his first ever sub16 parkrun and he also claimed a new Age Category Record for VM35-39. Well Done David!

The male record is held by William STRANGEWAY who recorded a time of 15:45 on 12th January 2019 (event number 62).
The female record is held by Abigail SCALES who recorded a time of 19:16 on 2nd November 2019 (event number 101).
The Age Grade course record is held by Caroline WHEELHOUSE who recorded 93.64% (20:26) on 7th July 2018 (event number 34).

Normanby Hall parkrun started on 4th November 2017. Since then 5,218 participants have completed 29,378 parkruns covering a total distance of 146,890 km, including 6,161 new Personal Bests. A total of 379 individuals have volunteered 2,737 times.
