5K Your Way comes to Northampton parkrun tomorrow

27th April 5K Your Way starts at the Racecourse Northampton parkrun.

Listen to BBC Northampton Radio tomorrow at 7:10 and 8:10 in the morning and hear interviews with Michelle (one of the Ambassadors for 5k Your Way and Northampton parkrun Run Director) and Joanna who spoke on behalf of Breast Friends Northampton and talks why she is taking part tomorrow with her two children and her personal journey with cancer.

More to follow next week on how it went.

We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at 9.00am Christmas morning. Please feel free to be as "fancy-dressed" as you like or stay in your pyjamas. All welcome but please remember to bring your barcode (see http://support.parkrun.com/hc/en-us/articles/200566943-Where-can-I-find-my-barcode- ) and have a look at our running with children policy (see http://support.parkrun.com/hc/en-us/articles/200566353-Can-I-run-with-my-child- ).  The Northampton parkrun fairies might not work as super quickly on Christmas parkrunday so don't be surprised if the results are a little slower to appear.

Northampton Magic Mile #2

Whether you're aiming for a Roger Bannister beating 4 minute mile or just want to see if you can run a whole mile. Come along and test yourself over the mile distance.

The Magic Mile is a free timed run that takes place over a measured course on the first Saturday of every month. The run follows on from Northampton parkrun so you can either run the parkrun as a good warm up for your mile attempt, volunteer and support parkrun or just turn up at 10am ready to run as fast as you can. We meet at the finish area of parkrun by the tennis courts before walking over to the start line.

Northampton Magic Mile takes place at The Racecourse in central Northampton. The course is run on the tarmac paths that disect the park and is almost completly flat so expect a pb waiting for you at the finish! The start is situated just before the playground/ basket ball courts and the route follows an anticlockwise direction taking a short lap before finishing agacent to the tennis courts. The course is fast and ideal for those looking to set a fast time for the mile as well as those new to the distance. Dependent on availability, marshals will be at key sections of the course, or temporary signs in place.
