21st March 2020 – Orangefield parkrun cancelled

All parkrun events in the United Kingdom have been suspended with immediate effect due to the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation. At this stage we have cancelled events up to the end of March. Please follow our communications channels for ongoing updates. parkrun’s global position is published and will be updated here:

At Orangefield we're still such a new event, yet it feels like we've been together each Saturday for so much longer. Thank you all, runners, walkers and volunteers, for joining us (whether occasionally or every week), giving your time and supporting each other, and helping to build our parkrun family ❤️

We'll be back as soon as it is safe to do so. Until then, please stay safe and well, take care of each other, especially those who have less of a support network around them, and keep in touch, we'll miss you!

14th March 2020 – Orangefield parkrun cancelled

Unfortunately we have to cancel our parkrun in the morning, 14th March 2020. Although we had a full enough roster to run a safe event, several key members of the volunteer team are no longer available, and sadly we have had to take the decision to cancel.

Your safety is important and we will only ever run an event if it is safe to do so. We hope to be back soon.

Thank you very much for participating at Orangefield - we really appreciate your support!

Christmas and New Year at Orangefield

Here at Orangefield, we're all very excited by the upcoming Christmas festivities, especially as it gives us the opportunity to do FOUR parkruns in two weeks!
Here are the dates:

21st December - parkrun as normal
25th December - no parkrun - enjoy your Christmas Day!
28th December - parkrun as normal
1st January - New Year's Day parkrun - at 11am
4th January - parkrun as normal

NYD is the only opportunity in the year to do more than one parkrun in a day. As in previous years we are taking the later 11am slot, meaning that it is possible for you to attend another local event before us! For example Stormont will start at 9:30am this NYD

Remember, you don't have to run/walk them both, some people choose to run/walk one and volunteer at the other, and we're always happy to hear from volunteers, any time of the year:

If you're travelling this Christmas and New Year, the parkrun Christmas Compendium lets you know where you can get your parkrun fix across the UK:

We hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year
