Last parkrun of 2018!

There was an impressive number of people at Osterley parkrun this morning for our 272nd parkrun, no doubt keen to run off some turkey and chocolate after Christmas festivities. And it was great to be able to celebrate one of our regular runner's 250th run - congratulations to Tunde, and thank you for all the help and support you give us at Osterley parkrun.
247 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 37 were first timers and 31 recorded new Personal Bests.Well done to all of you. We hope you'll join us again soon. And it was great to see so many visitors. We hope you'll visit us again - thank you to those of you who were so complimentary about our course and volunteers. We're very modest, but our parkrun is pretty awesome...

Thank you again to our hi viz heroes. We couldn't do it without you! We are looking a bit short for January so please do sign up for a slot if you can. There are a variety of jobs to be done, some of which can be done before or after the run. Do get in touch if there's something you fancy doing. We provide training and guidance for all the roles, and can happily talk you through what a role entails if you're unsure. And if you can't volunteer on a Saturday, there's always Osterley Juniors on a Sunday morning, same time, same place. Please drop us a line if you can assist!

The event was made possible by 19 volunteers:

Geoff MILES • Steve TREND • Christopher MAYBIN • Sally RAHEJA • Charmaine MCHALE • Patrick MCHALE • Els VERMEULEN • Jane MARLAND • Alison DANIELS • Maeve HYNES • Jessamy CARLSON • Lucas KAD • Kim BOBSIN • Stephen MCBRIDE • Sophie ROUHAUD • Jozsef MAK • Derek WINDEATT • Sacha SYED • Sarah BROUGH

Volunteer at Osterley 10K

This summer sees the return of the hugely successful Osterley 10K; one of the most widely recognised runs in West London. I'm looking for a team of volunteers to help me on the day to ensure that everyone has a wonderful day!

Thanks to volunteer help last year the Osterley 10K was a huge success welcoming over 400 runners to Osterley. This year the Osterley 10K will be bigger and better, with an anticipated 750 participants taking part and many more family and friends coming along to cheer! Your help again will be key to a successful day.

When is it?
Saturday 20 June volunteer shift time: 9.30 - 12.00

What will I be doing on the day?
On the event day you may be needed in a number of areas of event support including;

Marshalling the running route
Carpark assistance
Point of contact for general information and directions
Handing out and collecting surveys
General helping hand!

I'm interested, what next?
Please email me at Isaac.rocke@nationaltrust.org.uk or contact me on 020 8232 5061 if you would like to volunteer or find out a bit more about the day.

What time and where?
Please meet outside the Café for 9:30am, where I will meet you to brief you on the event and your roles for the day.

What do I need to bring?
Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and also bring your own packed lunch. Note we do have a café onsite. You will also be given a free Osterley 10K T-shirt!

It will be a truly fantastic day for Osterley and I hope to see you there! If you don't fancy volunteering why not run it or come along and watch?

Best Wishes,

Isaac Rocke
Sports Development Officer
