250 Not Out

Today was a milestone for us (not that I noticed beforehand, ahem) - our 250th run at Panshanger - and the weather couldn't have been better.

It was a day for milestones - Robert Buckle and Martyn Perrin made their centuries and George Rowedder and Alicia Stanley were not out on 50.

Tim Williams notched up a remarkable 30,000 miles running since 1981 in completing today's event.

To mark the occasion George led everyone home in 17.17.  The first woman back was Linda Goodwin in 21.57.

389 people ran and there were 48 first timers and 53 PBs - well done to you all.

The full results can be found at https://www.parkrun.org.uk/panshanger/results/latestresults/

Panshanger parkrun event #238 9th March 2019 – a bit parky!

This week 317 hardy folk braved the chilly wind and ran, jogged and walked the course. We welcomed 24 first timers to the Panshanger course, of whom 17 were new to parkrun (we hope you'll keep coming!). An impressive 34 new Personal Bests were recorded despite the slippery conditions (how do you do it?!). Representatives of 12 different clubs took part.

We celebrated two milestones: Rachel SLACK completed her 50th parkrun (and brought along her brother Andrew SLACK all the way from Canada to do his first ever parkrun) and Alex FORRYAN completed his 100th parkrun. Congratulations on your achievements!

Ben CURTIS was the first finisher for the men, in 18:53. He was followed by Kevin SAMBRIDGE in 19:13 and Russell CASEY (Garden City Runners) in 19:18. For the ladies, Harriet KEALY (Ware Joggers) swooped in at 21:00 on the dot as the first female finisher, and was followed by Linda GOODWIN in 22:26 and Lily HARRISON-STOKOE (Herts Phoenix AC) who bagged herself a new PB of 23:43.
