Event 224 – 08/06/2019

Saturday 8 June 2019 might have been one of those mornings where people had looked out the window and chosen a lie in instead of parkrun. It was a grey rainy day, but this did not put off the 140 park runners, only a few less than normal, who came along to Penrhyn parkrun, event number 224. 23 were first timers and 34 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 13 different clubs took part. There were parkrun visitors from Cardiff, Yorkshire, Manchester and Ireland. No milestones were recorded.

A big shout out to the following 16 volunteers who made this event possible: Julia PHILLIPS • Sally LONGMAN • Simon LONGMAN • Chris WILLIAMS-BUGGY • Eden POTTER • Ed WRIGHT • Claire BISHOP • Laura MCKENZIE • Pradeep KUMARA • Megan BASTOCK • Charles DAVIS • Charlotte WILLIAMS • Anita KENDRICK • Sarah MARSH • Thomas WILLIAMS • Adanna OMAKA

By the time the run started the rain seemed to have eased off somewhat creating quite comfortable conditions for everyone who ran, jogged or walked the course. The support from the volunteers and other spectators was as fantastic as ever from start to finish. The only change from the norm today was that barcodes were scanned in the shelter of the small tearoom at the end.

Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Penrhyn parkrun Results Page.
