Some awesome colours around the course this morning and that wasn't just the milestone t shirts or Hi-viz tops! Certainly, the pre-event course check saw a large number of wildlife on the course (there were a lot squirrels but Mini -Marshall is convinced he saw a bear in the distance by the Witch's hut!)
149 people managed to avoid the bears and squirrels, largely in thanks to the 20 marshals (and new volunteer post of Bear Ranger!) and the conditions were great to run in. There were 31 1st timers to Penrhyn including visitors from Bath, Stoke, Slough, Melton Mowbray Edinburgh and Yorkshire.
First finisher was Kierren Jones in a strong 17m46 with Elaine Sargent the fastest lady in 24m11. Milestones were achieved this week by Lowri Pritchard with her 100th run and Claire Bishop with her 25th volunteer (bring the T shirts next week!) and also Parkrun celebrated 15 years (what were Saturday mornings like without it?) This week's most experienced parkrunner was Jenny Zaremba with 317.
Its is around 6 weeks or so to go before we celebrate our 5th birthday and only 9 more parkruns until we celebrate our 250th! That's my last stint as RD for a bit now so thanks and see you on the course over the next few week
