Event 261

Great early spring  conditions for Event 261 today -gr nice, sunny, not too warm and with the occasional bit of drizzle and 14 squirrels on the course during the pre-event check!

158 parkrunners completed the 4 loops with 22 people running the Penrhyn course for the 1st time. 27 people recorded a new pb today so da iawn pawb! 22 different running cluns were also represented.

Milestones today were recorded by Junior runner Anya Hill (10th), Naomi Starkey on 50 and special mention to Paul Taylor on his 200th! A huge well done to Derran Leung, the tail walker on her 50th volunteer too! This week's most experienced runner was Dennis Smith on 242 - the green shirt is ever closer Dennis!

The National Trust have asked if we could provide any volunteers for the Easter weekend (Saturday 10th, Sunday 11th and Monday 13th April) to help with car parking with a donation being made to Parkrun which helps provide new equipment for us. Please email in if you feel you can volunteer on any of those dates.

Hopefully  we will see you again next week but please follow our social media to find out of any possible cancellations (The Run Director Curse of Chris is likely to hit soon but not sure even I can be blamed for this!!!) but if we do go ahead, please be sensible and bring your barcode too! Parkrun HQ have issued  a statement here - https://www.parkrun.com/news/2020/03/12/covid-19/
