Wow what a lovely morning for a parkrun. Jess Whitehouse our youngest RD stepped up to the mark again today and put on a faultless parkrun with 245 runners, walkers and joggers enjoying the autumn sunshine.
Our guest Robert Perry from Blackheath and Bromley Harriers AC was first home in a very respectable 17:29 and our own Emma Steptoe was first lady (4th overall) in 18:21.
We had 10 first timers this week. Melanie Bruce-Miller ran her first ever park run and finished in a very respectable 26:45. Also Kate Goodfellow was on her maiden parkrun with a finish time of 29:25. Lucy Turner joined them finishing in 31:30 and Mountsbay harrier Julie Bolitho made her debut in 32:48. Emily Squibb and Lianne Menear also completed their first park runs in 34:26 and 35:05 respectively. Demelza Cornish and Scott Meagor ran their first park run together today and not far behind them were George Cummings and Joanne Buckingham also on their first time out.
and finally a big shout out goes to James Benham who visited us today on his 275th Park run !! Amazing James !

This week 245 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 42 were first timers and 28 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 31 different clubs took part.

Penrose parkrun started on 28th March 2015. Since then 9,517 participants have completed 42,881 parkruns covering a total distance of 214,405 km, including 8,637 new Personal Bests. A total of 383 individuals have volunteered 3,140 times.
