Boss Man Ben, who has nearly completed his 6 month elective for his Bronze DofE, took charge this week and got us off to a very punctual 9:00am start.

We had 15 tourists join us this week from events including Bath Skyline and Clitheroe Castle as well as four RDs from Gnoll: Gemma H, Laura C, Gemma N and Sam B who are also known as Little Mix.  They wrote the following in our Visitor's Book:
" Fab parkrun, I'm sure the hill got longer on each lap!!  Excellent marshalling.  Be back!!"

Upcoming Events:

  • May the 4th is Star Wars Day, your RD may be rebellion leader Princess Leia helped by Han Solo. We cant wait to see the galaxies deadliest creatures on the course so see you there.
  • May 11th: as part of Deaf Awareness Week, 6 - 12 May 2019, we are incredibly lucky to be having a Deaf Take Over on Saturday 11th May. In order to prepare yourselves for the day, please watch the video and practice some parkrun related sign language. https://youtu.be/tl9s3V-B9-4
  • June 15th: we will be cancelled due to the junior football tournament.

This week 243 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 25 were first timers and 35 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 30 different clubs took part.

The female record is held by Charlotte Emily TAYLOR-GREEN who recorded a time of 18:00 on 27th October 2018 (event number 243).
The Age Grade course record is held by Simon ANDERSON who recorded 86.78% (17:16) on 13th August 2016 (event number 130).
