Congratulations to Ashley DUNN, Tom ROSS and Sarah MCNAMARA for their Red 50 shirts on their 50th parkrun finish.

Congratulations to Evie TAYLOR and Chris BENNETT for earning their Black 100 shirts on their 100th parkrun finish. A very impressive achievement for any parkrunner and particularly for Evie who managed it at age 13!

Congratulations to Andrea COFFIN from Chipping Sodbury parkrun, who earned her Volunteer 25 shirt by being our Tail Walker on her 25th Volunteer.

Finally, while not a parkrun milestone, getting married is a pretty significant milestone so an honourable mention must go to our First Finisher, Johnny Suttle, for his 17:28 run on his stag weekend...

...arguably Johnny, you didn't 'hydrate' enough the night before!

parkrun practice and GP Pledge Day

One year ago parkrun UK launched the ‘parkun practice’ initiative with the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) Clinical Innovation and Research (CIRC) Physical Activity & Lifestyle clinical priority team. Under this initiative, GP practices across the UK are encouraged to develop close links with their local parkrun to become ‘parkrun practices’. To celebrate the anniversary of 'parkrun practice', GP Surgeries across the UK have been invited to attend their local parkrun and to pledge to become a 'parkrun practice'. The parkrun blog can be found here. We were very happy to welcome staff from Frome Valley Medical Centre, Orchard Medical Centre, Cadbury Heath Healthcare and Kennedy Way Surgery.

Upcoming Events

  • June 15th: we will be cancelled due to the junior football tournament.
  • June 22nd: Club Day 2019 - After last year's very successful Club Day, we are looking forward to having another one this year. Bring your club mates, wear your club kit and bring your club flag. Please also bring leaflets or fliers that you may have about your club, when and where you meet, the type of run sessions you have and costs (if any) involved, as well as the contact details so potential members can find out more. Non-club runners can then find out about the different clubs available and find a club that suits them.
