We had a glorious sunny morning Up Pomphrey! on Saturday. It was such a lovely sight watching a number of hot air balloons in the distance as we arrived to begin setting up for our 275th parkrun. After picking up some litter and some doggy-do (yes, we do this too - all for the love of parkrun!), and setting out the course signs and funnels, our 24 other volunteers began to arrive, donned their hi-vis ready to help in one or other of the various roles we need to fill every week.

MORE reason to celebrate if you are Lynsey Miles, former PH Run Director, who transferred her skills and enthusiasm for parkrun - and fancy dress - to Curly Wurly parkrun (aka Somerdale Pavilion) when that began. After a 'flake' 99th run at Aberbeeg parkrun, the 100th took place at Henley, but Lynsey was hungry for more and for an excuse to dress up at her favourite parkrun. What theme do you choose for your 101st? - dalmations, of course, so hopefully that explains all the dotty people you might have spotted (pun intended)!

"Such Fun", and thanks for the spotty cake too Lynsey!
