This week's run report has been written by another of our guest writers, this time by Rose Burchill. Rose is currently half way (week 13 out of 26) through the Volunteer Section of her Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Take it away Rose:
Saturday was International parkrun Day and 15 years since the very first parkrun in Bushy Park, London when thirteen runners got together and started an international family that now has 4,059,870 parkrunners. Pomphrey Hill is now one of 1,990 events across 21 countries, all over the world.

Congratulations to this week’s milestone runners; junior runners Alfie Richley and Dexter Bryan completed their 10th parkruns, Andy Parfitt completed his 50th parkrun and Richard Helliar completed his 100th parkrun!
First over the finish line this week was Lee Gawler in a time of 17:30. The first lady (and also the first junior) was Danni Sinclair (JW15-17) who came 9th with a new PB of 20:42.
There were an amazing 65 PB’s this week and there were 37 first timers at Pomphrey Hill parkrun. We welcomed tourists from Bournemouth, Cardiff and Ipswich and we hope they’ll come back to run with us again!
Thank you, Rose. A fabulous run report!
There were a lot of wonderful and heartwarming things to see at Pomphrey this week from Rose W, 6, who ran her first parkrun with cuddly companion Jelly in hand. She didn't stop beaming for the entire 5k! Then there was Louisa, 3, who came to Pomphrey to cheer on her Mum. Louisa stood at the side of the path near the Pomphrey sign and held out her little hand for high fives. She had lots of encouragement from her dad to hold her hand higher and runners crossed the path and almost queued to tap her hand while she yelled "Great job!" to everyone passing. We're looking forward to seeing Louisa encouraging her mum (and everyone else) again soon.
19th October is our Autumn Pacer Day. If you would like to volunteer to pace then please let us know what time you do. If you would like to be involved email to email@example.com.
26th October is our annual Halloween Themed event. Costumes are welcome!
