It was great to see so many visitors and first timers at Porty this week.
A special mention to Dorothy Grooby who took part in her 100th Portobello parkrun; achieving a PB at the same time! And congratulations to Angela Goodsir who reached her 100 milestone.
It was nice to meet the staff from Portobello Surgery taking part in their first parkrun and also to get a chance to speak to Vince Ashton from Bolton who was taking part in his 69th different parkrun and who volunteers as an ambassador for invisible conditions.
This week 360 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 47 were first timers and 62 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 36 different clubs took part.

The female record is held by Jo WILLIAMS who recorded a time of 17:13 on 26th May 2018 (event number 157).
The Age Grade course record is held by Susan BURNS who recorded 92.66% (20:39) on 28th July 2018 (event number 166).
Portobello parkrun, Edinburgh started on 18th April 2015. Since then 9,894 participants have completed 54,090 parkruns covering a total distance of 270,450 km, including 9,676 new Personal Bests. A total of 786 individuals have volunteered 3,958 times.
