Event #225, 14 September 2019

It was great to see so many visitors and first timers at Porty on Saturday. A special mention must go to Brian and Susan who had travelled all of the way from Newcastle in Australia. Brian ran the course, whilst Susan undertook honorary funnel managing duties!

Congratulations to this week’s milestones, with David Webster completing his 250th parkrun and Helen Taylor her 50th.

This week 305 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 49 were first timers and 60 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 39 different clubs took part.

The male record is held by Andrew DOUGLAS who recorded a time of 15:21 on 7th November 2015 (event number 29).
The female record is held by Jo WILLIAMS who recorded a time of 17:13 on 26th May 2018 (event number 157).
The Age Grade course record is held by Susan BURNS who recorded 92.66% (20:39) on 28th July 2018 (event number 166).

Portobello parkrun, Edinburgh started on 18th April 2015. Since then 11,085 participants have completed 61,503 parkruns covering a total distance of 307,515 km, including 10,740 new Personal Bests. A total of 852 individuals have volunteered 4,516 times.
