Today saw the first Preston parkrun of 2020 and the decade. 555! That's how many of you took part today! I believe that is a new record attendance by 52 - well done everyone for taking part. It was great to see so many fresh faces walking, jogging and running at Avenham and Miller Parks first thing.
A big thank you to all the volunteers, without whom parkrun is not possible, who gave up their lie in to brief, time, cheer, sort tokens and tidy up (non-exhaustive list!). THANK YOU!
This week saw 60 PBs and 62 first timers. Well done to today's milestone runners Eve Howard and Rob Gordon who both ran their 50th parkrun and to Cath Mills who was celebrating her 100th. Any other milestone achievements??
Thank you again to all our lovely volunteers. Please check the Future Roster page to find out how you can help in the coming weeks. All the roles and straightforward and full training is given - don't be nervous, volunteering is as fun as running and may possibly be better! Get in touch if you would like to know more about volunteering or offer to help out email@example.com.
See you next Saturday!
