Great turn out I hear down at the riverside parkrun this morning, and although I wasn’t in attendance, I did think of you all as I was snoozing in my lovely warm bed and then I felt a pang of guilt as I had actually intended to run – a very rare thing indeed as I much prefer to volunteer, however my alarm failed to wake me up (oh dear).
However you lovely lot did turn up, all 193 of you who ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 26 were first timers and 27 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 21 different clubs took part.
We had Prudhoe Plodders C25K group doing their graduation run today, well done you should all be very proud of yourselves, fantastic achievement, keep up the great work.
Molly Paige was celebrating her 8th birthday so a big happy birthday to you and also her 10th parkrun – well done Molly!
We welcomed Claire Jennings from Widnes Wasps running club and also a visitor from Hartlepool, we hope you enjoyed our course and hope to see you again.
Have a lovely weekend whatever you are up to and see you all again down at the riverside next week…. well I won’t as I shall be getting lost in the hills on the Pendle Way in a day (I really need to learn to sit on my hand next time someone says who wants my place as I can’t go!)
