This week 352 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 61 were first timers and 43 recorded new Personal Bests. We were delighted to have 19 folk doing parkrun for the very first time! We hope you’ll be back again. We were also joined by YOPA – he is Hertfordshire’s Year of Physical Activity Mascot for 2018. He has had a mission to visit all of Hertfordshire’s parkruns this year – his last one is Gadebridge where he will be on Saturday 29th December.
As you’d expect on Christmas Day we had quite a few tourists. I am sorry I do not know your names but we had tourists from South Africa and Hong Kong – that’s a long way to come. Quite a few of you came in Christmas Fancy Dress. We didn’t have a photographer this week as he was on other duties at our parkrun but here are some photos we managed to get:
We were delighted to have a full roster of volunteers bearing in mind it was Christmas Day. Thank you all so much and for the extras who mucked in on the day. We are still a few volunteers short for New Year’s Day so if you are able to help us please send an email to email@example.com

New Year’s Day
Are you going to be doing the NYD Double? This is the only day in the whole year that you can record two parkruns on the same day. We are partnering with our neighbours at Cassiobury to offer you this opportunity. Come to Ricky at 09:00 and then hotfoot it across to Cassiobury for a 10:30 start. If you driving between the 2 then do try and lift share as parking will be at a premium. If you’d like to cycle between the two then you can join RD Lesley who will be cycling from Ricky to Cassiobury – don’t forget a lock for your bike!
