Event #102 – Sunshine on a Winter’s Day

Apologies everyone for the late report but it has been a busy week!

With such a dramatic contrast in weather conditions to the previous week, 465 people turned up to the Aquadrome at Rickmansworth last Saturday to run, jog and walk under blue skies and wall to wall sunshine.

UNADJUSTEDNONRAW_thumb_2534We had 51 first timers and 69 runners recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 29 different clubs took part.

Congratulations goes out to Helen Gray who was celebrating her 50th parkrun with us.
We were able to welcome parkrun tourists from as far away as Scotland, Devon and York.
It was also a pleasure to welcome Ciaran Murphy to Rickmansworth parkrun. His home event is Bushy Park and he is the proud owner of a very much coveted and hard earned 500 parkrun T-shirt.
Fin O’Regan visited us from Nonsuch parkrun and was running his 81st different parkrun at Rickmansworth on Saturday.

A  big THANK YOU goes out to all our amazing volunteers:
Sophie CHATER • Lesley KEDDY • Sarah OCKENDON • James MARTIN • Lily HARRISON • Paul RAWLINS • Alex DRIZEN • Preena DIVECHA • Rob WITHALL • Diane ANSTISS • Robert TAYLOR • Guy ANSTISS • Mark OCKENDON • Philip HAY • Jennie GOULD • Cameron FRASER • Sue JOHNS • Karen FISH • Matt MCKARELL • Adam SHACKLADY • Ollie MARSHALL • Anastacia PALMER

We still require a few volunteers for this week and if you are able to assist please email in with your name and barcode number.
If you are unable to help out this week but would still like to volunteer at an upcoming event, please take a look at our future volunteer roster - http://www.parkrun.org.uk/rickmansworth/futureroster/ and let us know which date and role you would prefer.

Rickmansworth parkrun cannot happen without our amazing volunteers and all your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Finally! Further to our Facebook reminder, our email address has changed and is now: rickmansworth@parkrun.com
Please add the new address to your contacts so that you will still receive our emails and to ensure that they won’t go into your junk mail files.

Enjoy the rest of your week and I look forward to seeing you all again on parkrunday!
