Rising Sun parkrun Event number 181 21st December 2019

Ho ho ho !!!!!!!

What a lovely festive morning here at Rising Sun parkrun. This morning we welcomed elves, reindeers and even a number of Santa's (some of whom were clear imposters lol)

We welcomed Rory Linton who travelled from Hamburg and ran with us and, although she missed the run (train delays) Margi Eccles travelled from Qatar and managed to get here in time to help us process the results.

Special thanks to all of our awesome volunteers who responded really quickly to our early appeal this week, we really do appreciate your help. If you are able to help out next week please let us know.

Our star of the day is the amazing Thomas Checkley who completed his 250th parkrun with us this morning. The lovely Checkley family are regular runners here and we are delighted to have shared this milestone with Thomas, who by the way, is only 13 years old - what an amazing milestone to achieve at such a young age.

If you are planning on running at a parkrun on Christmas Day, we hope you have a great run, otherwise we look forward to seeing you here next Saturday.

On behalf of our Core Team, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas

Sue

Rising Sun parkrun Event number 176 9th November 2019

Well what a lovely fresh morning it was to remember the fallen.

A big well done and thank you to all the volunteers for standing around on this chilly day.If you ever feel like giving it a go please get in touch.

Unfortunately due to a runner crossing the line and NOT taking a position token, some runners times will be incorrect. There is very little we can do about this as we do not know which token the said runner should have taken. Should your results be vastly different to your watch or strava please let us know, at this point however we are not confirming the results will be changed but we may be able to review them through the week.

Thanks
