The one where there was... (almost) record breaking attendance and a serious crosswind past the Mansion - just to keep us all on our toes!
515 parkrunners - 43 short of the record set on Christmas Day - joined us today to run the hill of doom... a huge welcome to the 29 who came to parkrun for the first time and the 39 who joined us here at Roundhay for the first time.
Huge congratulations to Sam ROBINS, James CLARK, Bradley GOTTING and Aster SHAW who ran their 50th parkrun; Joseph GREEN and Louise HANAN (who also bagged a PB) who ran their 100th; Chloé HUDSON who ran her 250th; Howard SMITH who ran his 300th
...and a special mention for Peter JOHNSON who ran his 250th parkrun after racking up his 250th volunteering session last Sunday at Junior parkrun. Massive well done to you all!
Thanks, as ever, go to the intrepid volunteers who ensured that parkrun can run... if you have never volunteered before February 1st is your chance! We’re having a first time volunteer takeover; pick a role and send in an email - it’s as simple as that. Don’t worry, where applicable, full training will be given!
See you all next week
(Thanks to Andy Wicks and Peter Johnson for the pictures)
