Ruchill parkrun #10 – 17/6/17

Ruchill parkrun
Event number 10
17th June 2017

This week 49 people ran, jogged and walked the course, and incredibly almost half of those (23) were first timers. We also had 8 people who recorded new Personal Bests today - well done to all. Representatives of 12 different clubs took part.

Special mention this week to Agnieszka MAGIERECKA, Fabiola CHIRA, Del MCLAUGHLIN and Chris CAIRNS, each on their first ever parkrun, and Kirk SHEPHERD who visited us from way, way down south. Hope to see you all at Ruchill Park again soon.

Despite the lack of biscuits there was a great turnout at the golf course afterwards too for tea, coffee and chat!

The event was made possible by 13 volunteers - once again thanks to each and every one of them:

Simon BARRETT • Charles STUART • Barrie JOHNSTONE • Lynsey PARKER • James MCLAUGHLIN • Laura THOW • Susan MCMILLAN • Chris GUNN • Lynn MACKENZIE • Finn BOYD • Dave MACINTOSH • Piotr CHMIELINSKI • Alex PARKER

Remember we are always grateful to hear from anyone who wants to volunteer for the coming weeks, so please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Today's full results and a complete event history can be found on the Ruchill parkrun Results Page.

This week, in spite of rather damp conditions, 44 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 26 were first timers and 9 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 17 different clubs took part.

The event was made possible by 14 volunteers, and as ever many thanks to all of them - we simply could not have parkrun without them. The best way for our runners to thank the volunteers is to join them, so please let us know if you would like to help us out one week.

Special mention this week to some parkrun tourists from Redcar, welcome to Ruchill (which completes the Glasgow set) for Diane and Graham HALL (below).

Just some of this week's high-vis heroes

It was good to see Dave and Margaret MOONEY doing a little parkrun tourism and visiting us from Dundee, as well as Karen CAMPBELL and Linda KIRKCALDY from St Andrews parkrun.
