Event number 44
24th March 2018
This week saw 58 people run, jog and walk the whale-shaped course at Ruchill park; of these 13 were first timers and, no doubt aided by the resurfacing of the paths and glorious Spring sunshine, 20 people recorded new Personal Bests. Well done all.
Perhaps special mention ought to go to Kara BOYD, age 10, who completed her first ever parkrun, supported and encouraged all the way by her mum, and finished not too far behind her big brother Finn. Kara reported feeling 'good, but tired' afterwards. We can all share that sentiment - congratulations and hopefully this is the start of a great parkrun adventure for her.
The event was made possible by 11 volunteers, to whom we say thanks once again:
David BOYLE • Chris HEVER • Simon BARRETT • Wendy GERVAIS • Petra SAMBALE • Jonas LENNIE • Nicola STEVENSON • Simon HARTOG • Julia SCOTT • Finn BOYD • Lawrence GERVAIS
