First Aid/CPR Training at Rushcliffe parkrun

Last July we ran a CPR/First Aid training session thanks to fellow parkrunner Marijke. Marijke has very generously offered to run another session this month and this will be available to all parkrunners. Perhaps you are already a first aider but would welcome a refresher, or maybe you have never had any kind of first aid training at all? She will also be teaching us how to use a defibrillator (the park has its own to which parkrun has access). This is a fantastic opportunity to educate yourselves and your family. Marijke is the resuscitation matron at Nottingham University Hospitals and is also an adult and children's emergency nurse. She is a Resuscitation Council (UK) adult and children's advanced life support instructor and has been teaching resuscitation and first aid for the past 15 years. She (with a small support team) has offered to run another session free of charge to anyone who wishes to attend. This will be held immediately after parkrun (after the results have been uploaded) on Saturday MARCH 28th. We will meet at the Education Centre and the actual location for the training will be decided based on the weather and the numbers attending. Please email the office if you are interested in attending just so we can have an idea of numbers - rushcliffeoffice@parkrun.com.
