The first proper frost of the season greeted our 447 hardy runners who turned up at Rushmoor this morning; including some in Halloween dress!
There may have been clear blue skies for much of the time but runners felt the chilly breeze coming in as they headed out onto the main road towards the canal entrance both times round.
Our amazing volunteers kept smiling through the cold too as they fought to keep fingers warm scanning and sorting tokens!
Of the 447 runners who braved the temperature on Saturday morning, 46 were first timers to Rushmoor of which 19 were running their first ever parkrun - well done!
Two of our junior runners, Evelyn Melly and William Ward ran their 10th Parkrun at Rushmoor this morning.
The cold weather proved no barrier to an incredible 71 runners who achieved a new pb.
The first finisher was Kurt Taylor, setting a new pb of 16:22 and the first female was Megan Gildea in 20:28.
As always, a huge thanks to all our volunteers who made this morning’s run possible. If you would like to volunteer at future events, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
