Charity Walks in Central Park

Two charity walks are set to take place in Central Park in December. Here's the information of how you can involved:

Event 1: When You Wish Upon A Star - Santa Saunta

The Mayor of North Lincolnshire, Councillor Peter Clark is delighted to be hosting this years Santa Saunta on Sunday 1 December 2013 in aid of the Mayors Appeal Fund 2013, supporting When You Wish Upon A Star.

This is no ordinary walk though! Every adult registered will have either their own Santa Suit or one supplied by When You Wish Upon A Star to wear, with all under 12's receiving a special Santa's Elf Hat!

This isn't a race, it's something the whole family can enjoy no matter what your fitness level is - you can go at the pace you choose - whether that be a jog, walk or SAUNTA!

Imagine being part of this special fundraising event, dressing up in your Santa Suit, strolling with your fellow Santa's and their Elves! All participants will receive a medal on completion.

With our annual trip to Lapland just a few days after the Santa Saunta, where we take around 100 of the regions poorliest children to see the REAL Santa in Lapland, this is the ideal time to bring a smile to a sick childs face and help us to make some very special dreams come true.

Pre-registration is essential. For Adults a £12.50 non-refundable entry fee is payable (includes Santa Suit on the day, £9.50 if supplying your own Santa Suit) and for children a £7.50 entry free is payable (includes Elf Hat on the day). Infants up to 2yrs old are Free. Suits and Hats are yours to keep following the event. You will be sent sponsor forms and we would ask that you make every effort to gain as much sponsorship as possible, which should be handed in on the day at the registration point.

Come rain or shine this event will go ahead so please wear sensible footwear and bring a brolly id necessary!

The online registration is now all set up and live for people to register online rather than via the post and the link to this is:
