Sheringham parkrun Event number 377 – 29th February 2020

Well done to the 126 people who ran, jogged and walked this morning in what were fairly challenging conditions of strong wind and rain. It was great to be able to welcome 13 first timers to Sheringham parkrun. Also notwithstanding the conditions 11 people managed new Personal Bests, including Martha Shawyer in the group JW11-14 who managed a time of 22.02. Well done Martha.

Congratulations go to Charlotte Neale, one of our local runners who ran her 100th parkrun, 81 of which have been at Sheringham and also to Mike Tivnen in the age group 56-69 who ran his 300th parkrun. Mike has completed the majority of his runs at Bushy Park, the original home of parkrun and was running at Sheringham for the first time.

A special thanks must also go to Clive this morning's Run Director and volunteers Chris Chorley, Bobbie Sauerzapf, Nick Bowden, Jez Hull, Janet Acott, Steve Banner, Jonathan Platten, Claire Foulkes, Kay King, John Aylward, Adam Griggs, Jeremy Bolam and Leigh West who stood around for over an hour making sure runners were safe and giving encouragement.

If you have not previously volunteered at Sheringham parkrun or have not volunteered for some time we would love to hear from you as we still have a number of volunteering opportunities inn the coming weeks. See the future volunteer roster at www.parkrun.org.uk/sheringham/futureroster/.
