Christmas Day and New Year’s Day runs cancelled

We’ve just received an email from the management at Sheringham Park to say that due to the recent wet weather, they only want us to organise two runs over the festive period.

Therefore we feel that we should continue to put on our regular Saturday runs, however we will have to cancel the additional Xmas and New Year Day events ... sorry!

We realise that this is disappointing for those wishing to run but it is imperative that we work with the National Trust to ensure the course can be maintained to a good standard.

Thanks to all those that had agreed to volunteer on both those days, you can now have a lie in!

Christmas Day Run

We are pleased to tell you that we will be putting on a run on Christmas Day! Thanks to Gary Linder (who has agreed to be Run Director for the day), we have an event! The run will start at our usual time of 9am. We will run the event with a skeleton team, however if you are able to help and volunteer on this special day please do let us know by emailing us at sheringhamoffice@parkrun.com. Thank you all, from the Sheringham Run Directors team!

Christmas Day and New Year’s Day parkrun

We are hosting a Christmas Day and New Year's Day parkrun. We really hope you can join us. They will both start at the usual time (9am). Santa Hats would be particularly apt on Christmas Day! We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible.
Thank you to those who have volunteered to help. None of this is possible without you.
Seasons Greetings from the team! :-)

Christmas Day parkrun

We are delighted to announce that we will be putting on a Christmas Day parkrun this year.
Our wonderful Core Team member, Gary Linder, has volunteered to be Run Director for the Christmas Day parkrun! Obviously, for the event to happen, we will need at least 4 volunteers supporting him with the essential jobs.
Gary is happy to process results after the run but will enjoy his Christmas Lunch before doing so!! ;-)
We hope you can join us.

Christmas events @ Sheringham parkrun

We have had lots of requests for a Christmas Day parkrun this year (hooray!) and so we will be in the unusual position of having 3 parkrun events taking place in the space of a week (hoooray!). These are as follows:

• Christmas FANCY DRESS parkrun - Saturday 19 December
• Christmas Day parkrun - Friday 25 December
• Boxing Day parkrun - Saturday 26 December

Volunteers are needed for all of the above events, so if you can help please get in touch by email to sheringhamhelpers@parkrun.com

Christmas Fancy Dress parkrun
Please join us on Saturday 19th in all your Christmas attire, however wacky, colourful or outlandish. We hope to see lots of Christmas presents, christmas crackers, and tinseled-up joggers etc making it round the park!

Christmas Day
If you are running, please open your presents beforehand, this could be the year you finally get your GPS watch!

Boxing Day
If you are coming to parkrun, please consider this as warm-up for the main running event of the North Norfolk calendar, a 50-yard dash to the big blue! It's the Boxing Day Dip, hosted by the North Norfolk Beach Runners, watched by thousands, raising thousands for good causes, and it happens at Cromer promenade at 11am! Be there!

Christmas Events @ Sheringham parkrun

APPARENTLY ITS CHRISTMAS SOON... so once again we need to get organised into our festive running gear! This year we are pleased to bring you a double parkrun christmas!

Saturday 21st December: Christmas fancy dress parkrun: come dressed as santas, elves, reindeer, baby jesus, three wise people etc. We hope to have mince pies and hot mulled wine for you again this year so please come and join us! Can we beat last years attendance!??

Christmas Day: It's official, Sheringham parkrun joins Norwich parkrun on Wednesday 25th December (Starts 9:00am) in offering those ultra-keen lyrca-lovers a chance to earn a Christmas day PB! We asked you and you responded with a very definite YES! Thanks for that, and thanks to Ross Haddow, Chris Merrylees and Gary Linder for offering to lead this extra special event! Please note that this event may run with reduced marshals and signage. It will be a timed run and results will be published in the normal way.

Happy shopping!
