Event number 265
1st June 2019
This week 565 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 71 were first timers and 90 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 34 different clubs took part.
Thanks to all our volunteers for their time. Special shout out for two of our Duke of Edinburgh volunteers: Sophie, who completed her Bronze award and to Josh completing his Gold award. Thanks to both of you for all of your help.

Message from Paul (ED):
At the run brief each week we announce news and cancellations - that is why it is always important to attend and listen.
At this time of year there are quite a few events on in the park and some weeks we can work with the organisers so we can still parkrun while other times the amount of activity / traffic or blocked paths makes it impossible for the parkrun to take place.
Up coming cancellations are as follows:-
15th June - Carnival in the Quarry.
29th June - Food Festival.
13th July - Lets Rock event.
Remember this is an ideal time to visit a local parkrun and experience a spot of tourism, you could be the one putting your hand up when they ask at the brief if there are any tourists but we always want you to come back to ours.
If you are thinking of visiting another event please check their web site and Facebook page to ensure that their parkrun is on.
