Singing,Dancing and Running in the Rain !!!!
That is what the 77 participants - 10 Volunteers, the ducks on the pond, the dogs on leads and the pram pushers were doing today.
What makes us do it ? and why is it so satisfying to reflect in the comfort of a warm room with a cup of tea in our hands when its all over and the results come through ?
So well done again to all who have that smug feeling when its all over, the muscles have recovered , and another one has been chalked up !!!!
A huge thank you to our excellent and dedicated volunteers who make it all possible even on those days when it rains for the entire parkrun, there is no cover and the equipment is being subjected to monsoon conditions.
This week 77 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 19 were first timers and 18 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 10 different clubs took part.

The male record is held by Mark MCKINSTRY who recorded a time of 15:40 on 27th July 2019 (event number 2).
The female record is held by Jana ROSS who recorded a time of 19:29 on 3rd August 2019 (event number 3).
The Age Grade course record is held by William D SIMPSON who recorded 87.01% (16:10) on 27th July 2019 (event number 2).
Sixmilewater parkrun started on 20th July 2019. Since then 1,236 participants have completed 3,054 parkruns covering a total distance of 15,270 km, including 719 new Personal Bests. A total of 70 individuals have volunteered 195 times.
