Rain certainly didn't stop play at Sixmilewater parkrun this week with 77 people who ran, jogged and walked the course. We had 7 first timers and representatives of 12 different clubs took part.
It was another fantastic run for Junior parkrunner Tom Fleming who was first finisher in a time of 18mins 14secs. First female finisher was Natasha Henderson with a new PB time 19min 30secs.
We know you all appreciate our fantastic volunteers at parkrun - some are there every single week. Volunteering is essential to parkrun - no volunteers, no parkrun. So this is an appeal directly to you to please embrace the full spirit of parkrun and take your turn to volunteer. Maybe you know someone in your friends and family circle who would volunteer on your behalf then that is great - we welcome all volunteers!
This week here are the names of the volunteers who made your run possible:
Jeanette BURTON • Vivien DAVIDSON • Julie YOUNG • Nicole FINLAY • Peter TUCKER • Wendy BRANIFF • Margaret BEATTIE • Chris DICKEY • Ronnie HENRY • Iain BELL • Stephen MCCULLOUGH • Zoë YOUNG
