We're going to start this week's run report with an emergency appeal: as you all know, we provide free tea, coffee and biscuits after ever run. But our supplies are running low on all fronts and are biscuit cupboard is completely empty (I must admit my four year old son is at least 50% responsible for this). In the past we've ask you guys to contribute by bringing along a pack of biscuits or some tea or coffee - even all three - and you've responded brilliantly. So if you were wondering how to help your parkrun, now's your chance to pick up one or two extra items when you're shopping and bring them along.
This Saturday though there's an even more worthwhile appeal as we'll be collecting for our local foodbank. Check out our Facebook page for the kind of items you should bring but think stuff like dried pasta, tinned fruit, veg and meat, and pudding and biscuits.
This week we are once again indebted to the Norfolk Gazelles who, after their massively successful parkrun takeover, sent a plogging team out around our course. If you're not familiar with plogging, it involves running and picking up litter. Our sure our course will benefit massively from their little spruce up so thanks very much to them.
Well done to Millie Morgan and Kirsty Saddd who completed their 100th runs. and Michelle Ward who did her 50th.
This week 225 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 44 were first timers and 44 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 20 different clubs took part.
