Smashed it!

Well after a very foggy start setting up the course, we briefed the volunteers and directed marshals to their posts - well we tried because we couldn't actually see the pylon or the tree line. However our 22 volunteers made the morning go as smoothly as we like.

There were 114 of you this week, still over half were first timers or visitors, some from Dulwich, Tamar Lakes and our neighbours Pomphrey Hill, We also had a large contingent from Sole Sisters running group. We hope to see you all again very soon.

There was certainly something in the air - literally,  as course conditions appeared to be perfect, the mud was gone, ground - firm but not too hard, the only thing holding it back was the wet dewy grass. However that didn't stop 36 of you recording pbs, the top 12 finishers all had a pb either a course pb or as a first timer.

The highlight of the day however was Ed Knudsen from Avon Valley Runners who smashed the course record with a time of 16:48. The funnel team were rather over excited when they could see it was going to be beat

The volunteer roster has lots of spaces free over the next few weeks so please do let us know if you can help out.

Until next time
