Join us for a special marathon themed parkrun on Saturday 22nd April
Following last year's phenominal success, we will be bringing back our marathon-themed parkrun on Saturday 22nd April. In celebration of the UK's most iconic running event the following day, we'll attempt to bring you all the magic of running a marathon without you actually having to run more than 5k! Expect cheer points, inspirational signs, energy stations and post-run recovery snacks! Sadly, steel drum bands are hard to come by.
It's a little known fact that the Southwark parkrun course treads the same ground as the first ever London Marathon in 1981, which is one extra reason to visit us this weekend!
We do hope you can join us - it should be terrific fun! We also have lots of room for volunteers so please get in touch if you'd like to join the fun! Anybody racing on Sunday can look out for our unofficial parkrun cheer station at around mile 10; we wish you best of luck.
