Run report 207 – 10th August 2019

It was dull and cloudy and no number of filters have been able to remove a grey sky from the photos. But as soon as the gates opened and parkrunners started flooding the park, it was brighter, there were smiles and chatter... Is it not great to start the weekend with something so uplifting as parkrun? Surrounded by friends, old and new, and by 'parkrun buddies' (people whom we see only on Saturday mornings but they have become part of our lives, and something is missing if we can't see them once a week).IMG_5469

This week 220 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 24 were first timers (9 completed their first ever parkrun) and 14 recorded new Personal Bests. We had visitors from Nottingham, Galway and Malling parkrun in Kent.

A quick reminder that we do not accept barcodes on mobiles. No printed barcode No results: https://support.parkrun.com/hc/en-us/articles/200566883-Do-I-have-to-have-a-barcode-?fbclid=IwAR02I2osvqvQGy7FV6Uhf0ywC5Z01e4DftWUNYg7ctGe5TbQHHW0T_h3yPsIMG_E5531

There is plenty of volunteer roles available every week. Send an e-mail or contact us through social media and we will add you to the roster. Volunteering is easy, and we explain everything if needed. Just ask :)

See you all next week, same place, same time!
