Our first parkrun

What great start to a new parkrun!

First, a big THANK YOU to the volunteers who not only gave up their Saturday morning but have been busy behind the scenes getting everything in place for Sutcliffe parkrun.

198 people ran, jogged or walked today. Whichever one you did well done. Hopefully this will be the first of many at Sutcliffe Park. Everyone was a first timer but the results showed that a few people took part in their first ever parkrun! There was one result with no name attached so please remember to bring a print-out of your parkrun barcode.

A special mention to a lady called Sarah who was easy to spot because she was wearing a sash bearing her name and the fact that this was her 300th parkrun! Very impressive and a big congratulations from us.

Sutcliffe parkrun is a three-lap route and very flat, which makes it a good course to get into parkrun or to pursue a personal best over the 5k distance.

If anyone is interested in volunteering, please take a look at the Sutcliffe parkrun future roster. Without volunteers this wonderful event wouldn't be possible. All the roles are simple to do and some even mean you can also run.
