If you register online beforehand and bring a printed barcode with you, then your time will be recorded and shown online afterwards. The run (or jog or walk) at Thetford starts at 9am, but please arrive a few minutes earlier for the pre-run briefing. If you're new to parkrun or to the Thetford course then please arrive by 8:45 for the new runners' briefing.

Help Celebrate our 200th Run

On Saturday 5th November, Thetford parkrun will be celebrating its 200th event. It's optional fancy dress for those who'd like to. And we'll have a number of pacers running to set times for those who have a target they'd like to achieve.

Do come and join us to run, jog or walk our 5km route. We'll be starting as usual at 9am. Meet at about 8:45 at the Priory entrance to Abbey Meadows. It's free to take part, and if you register beforehand and print out a barcode you'll get a time and be listed in the official results. For course information, parking details, and how to register see http://www.parkrun.org.uk/thetford/ .

Join us for the nation’s biggest sports day

Next Saturday (27th August) will be a special parkrun at Thetford. We're having an optional "Sports Day" fancy dress theme, as part of both Thetford's Great Festival, and the national "I Am Team GB" celebration. We'll be starting as usual at 9am from the entrance to the priory on Water Lane.

It's free to take part, and all are welcome to attend and run, jog or walk our 5000m route in Abbey Meadows. It doesn't matter if you can't go quite as fast as Mo Farah, we have regular participants who complete the route in times between 17 minutes and over an hour. The route will be signed and marshalled, and there's a tail walker to make sure no-one gets left behind. And if you're not up to 5km, you can still come and do what you can, or just cheer on the other participants.

For those who haven't been before, if you want an official time and position at the end, please register in advance online and bring a printout of your barcode with you.
