Event #256 – 13th October 2018

Sunshine, warmth, no puddles - perfect morning for a run albeit a tad warm - and I have a feeling there may have been lots of water drunk after the run.

It was fantastic to see an array of new runners joining our regular runners for a lovely 5k run around our wonderful park.

Thank you to Lesley Penney for the photo and congratulations to her husband Stuart celebrating his 50th parkrun.

We were so happy that 512 people joined us for the event - running, jogging and walking the course and an amazing 39 people running for the first time and 54 people achieved a new Personal Best.

Thank you to our wonderful volunteers who make the events possible:

Laura GROVE • Michael YOULTON • Anthony LESTER • Caroline BROOKS-JOHNSON • Tony FULLBROOK • Bob SHEWAN • Neil BROOKS-JOHNSON • Jill POPE • Catherine MOORE • Jamie ROGERS • Alan BENNETT • Lucy EAMES • Jade STOWELL • Paul EAMES • Joy CROUCHER • Matt BOTTEN • Tony WRIGHT • Maxine COLLINS • Steve WELLSTEAD • Jean BOULLE • Sean MCBREEN • Amanda MILLER • Carolyn PRATLEY • Ian BLACKMAN • Jennifer LEWIS • Louise POWELL • Trevor MARTIN • Emily EVERARD • Cadan LAUNDER • Henry SWAITE

It is always exciting to see so many people coming along, and especially lovely to see people joining in the fun and spending their Saturday morning in the company of fellow runners, joggers and walkers.
And a BIG welcome to all the first time parkrunners who joined us - we hope you felt part of the parkrun family.
We hope you will come back next week and enjoy another run and be on your way to that exclusive milestone shirt - remember juniors need to run 10 times and adults need to run 50 times to claim their free milestone shirt.

Speaking of milestones, congratulations to the following who achieved their milestones today:

50 runs:

10 runs:

A massive thank you to each and every one of our wonderful volunteers - from the pre-event set-up team, bar-code scanners, token sorters, time-keepers, funnel managers, marshals, pacers and tail walkers - you are all fabulous - for supporting, cheering, encouraging all our parkrunners, and staying right until the end to clap and cheer and support everyone to the finish line.

As ever we are always need volunteers, if you have run 10 time or more since the last time you helped please consider dropping Laura an email and letting her know when you might like to help out over the next few weeks.
Email tonbridgehelpers@parkrun.com and Laura will let you know what we would like you to do. Remember every time you volunteer, you will be closer to your milestone T-Shirt.
