Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning

WORLD BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING WAS A GREAT SUCCESS TODAY.
Thanks very much to Jo Canham and her large team of friendly helpers.

Hello everyone. I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone involved this morning to make the World's Biggest Coffee Morning a success. I am extremely grateful and the event wouldn't have been possible without the donated sweet treats and refreshments and of course the lovely people who served the drinks and cakes and the people who donated their money in return for cake and drink.

Hopefully I won't have to suffer waking up at 2.30am anymore worrying about whether it will be a success - it was and I'm very happy.

We are going to nominate Chad for the Great British Bake Off next year, I'm sure he would win.

I won't waffle on for too long but it was a great morning and seeing as I have kept you waiting long enough.......queue drum roll......the amount raised was £550. My Mother made a last minute donation to make it an even figure - perhaps she didn't like seeing an odd 74p on the page.

Thank you
Jo Canham

WORLDS BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING – Sat 30th Sept

Would anyone be able to help Jo Canham make Coffee and sell coffee and cake etc on Saturday 30th September. :)
WORLDS BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING AT TORBAY VELOPARK SCANNING DESK

RAISING MONEY FOR MACMILLIAN CANCER SUPPORT

Message from Jo Canham, one of our lovely parkrun volunteers.

Macmillan Cancer Support aim to ensure that nobody should have to face cancer alone and its almost that time of year for their annual Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning. A time to get together, eat some delicious cake, replenish lost calories burned during a 5k and very importantly to raise money.

So to the point of this lovely message. In a moment of madness I have asked our illustrious Events Director if we can hold our own Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning. I’m a regular volunteer, can often be seen near the back of the field and when I am doing the Park Run and the rest of the time I am trotting about tucking in people’s labels.

It would be great for Torbay Velopark Park Run to raise as much money as possible and therefore I would like to ask for your help. I would be very grateful if there are people who are willing to donate an item to the cause - bottle of fruit squash, a jar of coffee, tea bags, serviettes, plastic/polystyrene cups, sweet treats (shop bought or home made).

This event will take place on Saturday 30th September right next to the Barcode Scanning Desk. Items can be bought to the volunteer hub to the right of the Scanning Desk from Saturday 2nd (sweet treats dependent on use by date).
If you can donate anything please contact Jo Canham
