Trelissick parkrun - 26th January 2019 - #112
Another great new year turnout at Trelissick today with 209 folks who walked, jogged or ran our course on a slightly damp underfoot, grey mizzly Cornish day.
Many thanks to Liz & Jack for setting up at 7am this morning with headtorches ablaze due to the failiure of the official ‘setter upper’ not making it out of his bed!
We welcomed visitors from Exmouth, Barnet, London, High Wycombe these were a few home towns of today's runners shouted out at the briefing.
The last Saturday of each month our ‘parkrun pacers’ spring into action & I’d like to thank them for volunteering today & offering their services.
First male runner home was Ollie Harrison in 19:49 minutes closely followed Trelissick regular Doug Reid in 19:57. Doug was pacing the 20 minute run today, how tempting it must have been for him to put a little spurt in & chase Ollie to the line!!!! - many thanks Doug for perfect pacing.
Performance of the day surely must go to Catherine Newman from Exmouth Harriers who was the first female to cross the line in 21:43 mins & has set a new age graded record for Trelissick - well done Cathy.

Today’s results are online, we’ve noticed several runners who are listed as ‘unknown’.
Please register & print off your barcode to bring each week, you’ll then get either an email or text with your results. Children who complete 10 parkruns get a free ‘10’ t shirt , adults receive one on reaching their ‘50th’ parkrun & volunteers you’ll get one on your 25th stint.
This week 209 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 29 were first timers and 37 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 10 different clubs took part.

The female record is held by Eleanor WHYMAN-DAVIS who recorded a time of 18:31 on 24th December 2016 (event number 4).
The male record is held by Daniel JARVIS who recorded a time of 16:25 on 15th September 2018 (event number 93).
The Age Grade course record is held by Catherine Ann Thurlow NEWMAN who recorded 83.35% (21:43) on 26th January 2019 (event number 112).
Trelissick parkrun started on 3rd December 2016. Since then 4,531 participants have completed 17,597 parkruns covering a total distance of 87,985 km, including 3,529 new Personal Bests. A total of 200 individuals have volunteered 1,473 times.
