Tring Park parkrun #153 – The Happy Hens!

We all know how inclusive and welcoming parkrun is and it was great to see the kick off to a future wedding celebration starting at Tring. Charlotte decided to commence her Hen Weekend with a run/walk around Tring Park and chose a wonderfully sunny day. We hope the wedding goes well Charlotte and we hope you enjoyed the Prosecco in the Park!

We had several milestones this week. Congratulations to Paul Mccormack on running his 100th and achieving black shirt. Also congratulations to Ella Highton on reaching her 50th and getting the Red Shirt and a huge well done to Isobel Roberts who ran her 10th and gets the white junior T-Shirt.

We welcomed 184 runners this week which included 23 first timers and tourists. We hope you enjoyed the Tring hills and come back soon to try for a PB. We also had 23 PB’s, of those who've run at least 5 times at Tring , the best PB improvements were by Ollie Bayliss (0:59), George Fletcher (0:37) and Luca Webster (0:31).

Here at Tring Park we like to think of ourselves as both welcoming and encouraging, this is a great image of runners who have finished clapping and cheering the later finishers on the home straight. Also, it’s a beautiful sky line!!

I'd also like to send a very special thank you to Dennis and Matty, our cow marshals this week. When we arrived our bovine friends were a little troublesome and caused some issues on the course. Dennis and Matty did a fantastic job of rounding them up and keeping the runners safe. Many thanks.
